In addition to paying rent for the property, you may also be required to make the following permitted payments:
Before the tenancy starts:
Holding Deposit: 1 weeks rent (The new provisions allow for a holding deposit of up to one week’s rent to be taken by us and held for up to fourteen days. On the fifteenth day you must enter into a tenancy or agree to extend the holding period. If the tenancy does not happen as a result of the landlord’s decision then the holding deposit will returned to you.)
Deposit: Equivalent to 5 weeks rent (max)
During the tenancy:
Payments to other third parties: such as Council tax, utilities or payments for communications services will be payable by the tenant.
Default Charges: such as payments for the replacement of lost keys or late rental payment interest is fixed at 3% above the Bank of England base rate. This can only be levied after 14 days worth of arrears and is backdated.
A charge of £50 (including VAT), will be payable, should any changes to the Tenancy agreement be required midway through the Tenancy
